Roosevelt Island on a Chilly Drizzly Sunday Afternoon


I took Leena over to Roosevelt Island just to sightsee a bit and get out of the apartment on a chilly, drizzly Sunday afternoon.  I'd been once before and wanted to walk up as far north as the light house, which wasn't accessible as the paths were blocked by fences.

We passed by The Octogon, all that remains of the New York City Lunatic Asylum, which is now the lobby for some apartment buildings.

I was almost obsessed with some black buildings across the river and brightly lit trees in between, taking photos from different angles and exposures...
